NSTC signs New Memorandum of Agreement with Philippine Ports Authority

On June 21 2018, the Netherlands Shipping Training Centre (NSTC) and the Philippines Ports Authority (PPA) signed a new 5-year Memorandum of Agreement.

Through this agreement NSTC has secured the future of its maritime STCW training facility in the harbour of Palompon. The signing ceremony was attended by Mrs. Josie Francisco, NSTC Chairperson, Jaco Beerends, Vice-Ambassador to The Netherlands and Martijn Voorham, General Manager of NSTC.

NSTC is a non-stock, non-profit Foundation managed by STC International. Since its inception in 2006 more than 15.000 certificates have been awarded by NSTC. To date, 1.902 Filipino cadets have started their ship board training on the Dutch fleet.
