In June 2017, Stellenbosch University, Department of Logistics and STC International signed a long-term cooperation agreement. By having signed the agreement the Maritime, Ports, Transport and Logistics Academy (MPTLA) has been established.
The MPTLA offers short courses and programmes at the middle and higher management levels. The short courses are based on local and international curricula and best practices tailored to the local situation in South Africa. The MPTLA also provides technical assistance and research services.
The cooperation has been facilitated by and is executed in close cooperation with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
